Leapmotor launches A10s flagship at 92,800 yuan with lidar and 505 km CLTC range

Leapmotor has launched the A10s, a top-spec version of its A10 series, priced at 92,800 yuan (about $13,070). It features a 90 kW motor, 53 kWh LFP battery, and lidar-based assisted driving.

Leapmotor has introduced the A10s, a new flagship variant of its A10 series, priced at 92,800 yuan (about $13,070) as a Chinese guide price before taxes and incentives. The model, which went on sale on October 18, is positioned as the top trim in the A10 lineup, with exclusive styling and interior upgrades, according to NetEase Auto.

Design and cabin upgrades

The A10s features a unique Mirror Night Black exterior paint, a gunmetal brand badge, 18-inch black sport wheels, and a red 'S' emblem at the rear. The car retains the signature 'haha' taillight design, which the company says offers strong recognition when lit. Dimensions are 4,270 mm long, 1,810 mm wide, and 1,635 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,605 mm.

Inside, the cabin uses a Modern Grey color scheme with gunmetal accents, red stitching, and embroidered headrests. Seats combine suede and faux leather, with front ventilation, heating for both front seats and the steering wheel. The rear seat cushions can flip up 60 degrees, and a 106-liter underfloor storage compartment adds flexibility.

Powertrain and assisted driving

The A10s is powered by a front-mounted single motor producing 90 kW (about 121 hp) and 150 Nm of torque, paired with a 53 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery. The CLTC range is rated at 505 km (about 314 miles); a WLTP estimate would be roughly 430 km (267 miles) due to the more optimistic nature of the CLTC cycle.

For driver assistance, the car includes a lidar sensor and an SA8650 computing chip, enabling parking-space-to-parking-space assisted driving, urban NAP (city navigation assist), highway pilot, and memory parking.

The A10s targets young buyers with its sporty details and smart features, as competition intensifies in the sub-100,000 yuan (about $14,100) electric vehicle segment. Leapmotor aims to differentiate through personalization and advanced technology, according to NetEase Auto.
