Leapmotor B01 hits 100,000 deliveries in 15 months

Leapmotor's B01 electric sedan surpassed 100,000 cumulative deliveries about 15 months after launch, with over 80% of buyers choosing the long-range version and more than half opting for the lidar-equipped trim.

Leapmotor announced on October 13 that its B01 electric sedan has surpassed 100,000 cumulative deliveries, roughly 15 months after the model went on sale in July 2025. The milestone makes the B01 a key pillar of the brand's sales volume, according to NetEase Auto, which reported the news.

The B01, the first battery-electric (BEV) sedan in Leapmotor's B series, was positioned as a "high-quality intelligent sedan for young people." Within a month of its launch on July 24, 2025, the model had locked in more than 20,000 orders, and the first 10,000 units were delivered in just 37 days. Monthly deliveries then stayed above 10,000 units for several consecutive months before the cumulative total crossed 100,000.

Buyer preferences skewed toward longer range and higher intelligence: more than 40% of customers were women, over 80% chose the 650 km version, and more than 50% opted for the lidar-equipped trim.

Pricing and specs

The B01 is built on Leapmotor's LEAP 3.5 technology architecture and is offered in six versions across three battery capacities: 43.9 kWh, 56.2 kWh and 67.1 kWh. The Chinese guide price before taxes and incentives ranges from 89,800 yuan to 119,800 yuan (about $12,600 to $16,900).

Those packs correspond to CLTC range ratings of 430 km, 550 km and 650 km. As a reference, CLTC figures tend to be roughly 15-20% more optimistic than WLTP, so the equivalent WLTP estimates would be approximately 350-365 km, 445-470 km and 525-550 km. Fast charging takes the battery from 30% to 80% state of charge in as little as 18 minutes.

The rear-wheel-drive model uses a seven-in-one oil-cooled electric motor producing 160 kW (about 215 hp) and 240 Nm of torque, enabling a 0-100 km/h sprint in 6.4 seconds.

Smart features drive appeal

Intelligence is a core selling point. The B01 pairs a Qualcomm 8295 cockpit chip with a Qualcomm 8650 processor, and its lidar-based end-to-end assisted driving model supports 26 functions including highway pilot assist, commuting pilot assist and valet parking in parking lots. The Leapmotor OS 4.0 Plus infotainment system uses dual AI voice models with dialect recognition and multimodal interaction.

With the B01's steady performance, Leapmotor has established a foothold in the 100,000-yuan-class BEV sedan segment and is pushing toward its annual delivery target of one million vehicles, the report said.
