PCauto reports that the Zunjie V680, a flagship MPV from the JAC-Huawei joint venture, is entering the 700,000-yuan (about $98,600) segment with a focus on serving both business and family needs. The model, positioned as a 'era flagship MPV', moves beyond traditional business-only designs to cover scenarios such as executive shuttling, family trips, long-distance travel, and mobile office use.
The V680 measures 5,320 mm long, 2,006 mm wide, and 1,850 mm tall, with a 3,290 mm wheelbase. Instead of simply maximizing seat count, the vehicle uses a 'large four-seat' layout that can switch between business and family modes. The second-row seats slide rearward to provide more legroom for executives, while the third row folds electrically to adjust the cabin for different passenger numbers. Second-row legroom exceeds 1.4 meters, and the seat backrest can recline up to 150 degrees.
Rear-seat comfort and smart cabin
The V680's second-row zero-gravity seats feature 20-layer construction, with a cushion foam thickness of 85 mm and an overall cushion thickness of 129 mm. Fourteen high-precision sensors detect occupant height, weight, and pressure distribution, allowing the seat to adapt its support. Rear amenities include a 21.4-inch 3K entertainment screen, flip-up armrest screens, a small table, and privacy glass with light-blocking capability.
In the front, a curved triple-screen setup combines a 12.3-inch 2K instrument cluster and two 17.2-inch displays for the center console and passenger side. The cabin runs Huawei's HarmonyOS-based cockpit, though the report does not specify the chip or software version.
Safety and driver assistance
The V680 is equipped with Huawei's Qiankun ADS 5 driver assistance system, using a full-directional fusion perception setup with 40 sensors, including dual forward lidar and a six-lidar matrix. The system covers perception, computation, communication, braking, steering, power supply, positioning, and interaction, with redundancy to handle complex scenarios. The body uses an 11-longitudinal and 11-lateral beam architecture, with high-strength steel and aluminum-magnesium alloy accounting for over 88.2% of the structure. Active safety features include front and side collision prevention, and in the event of an imminent crash, the active suspension can raise the body and seats can return to upright positions.
The V680 competes with the Li Auto MEGA, which PCauto notes takes a different approach: the MEGA emphasizes a seven-seat layout, a pure-electric platform, and family-oriented design, while the V680 prioritizes the rear-seat experience and dual-scene flexibility. For buyers seeking a single vehicle that handles executive duties and family life, the V680 offers a comprehensive package, though no official launch date or pricing has been announced.
