Inx raises over 300 million yuan in Series B round for embodied AI hardware

Inx, a Chinese supplier of robot components and embodied AI hardware, has completed a Series B funding round of more than 300 million yuan (about $42.3 million), according to Gasgoo. The company plans to use the funds to expand product development, manufacturing capacity and business operations.

Inx, a Chinese developer of robot core components and embodied AI hardware, has completed a Series B funding round of more than 300 million yuan (about $42.3 million), according to Gasgoo.

The round was led by investors including CITIC Jinshi, Nice Group, Suzhou Chuangtou, Huarui Investment, Nanjing Jiaokong and Huarui Venture Capital. Existing shareholders Fosun Chuangfu, Shenzhen Capital Group, Huakong Fund, Jinqiu Fund and Puhua Capital also participated in multiple follow-on investments.

The company said the fresh capital will support continued investment in product research and development, manufacturing capabilities and business expansion.

From components to full-stack hardware

Inx has repositioned itself from a single core-component supplier to an infrastructure service provider for embodied AI hardware. The company now offers a complete chain that spans robot joint modules and smart batteries, along with dexterous hands, data gloves and full-matrix integrated hardware solutions for robots.

The company produces joint modules in multiple sizes and torque ratings, including two generations of outer-rotor and inner-rotor designs, which it says can be adapted to scenarios ranging from data collection and firefighting to public security and industrial applications.

Inx has also developed the EC-DexHand-5F dexterous hand and EC-Gloves data collection gloves. The dexterous hand features 20 active degrees of freedom, using a proprietary compact planetary joint design where each joint integrates a motor, reducer and dual encoders for high-precision force-position hybrid control. The data gloves can accurately read joint angles across all 20 degrees of freedom with a communication frequency higher than 1 kHz, enabling a full pipeline from data collection to model training and real-machine deployment.

The company plans to launch a new series of flat-wire motor products soon. Compared with traditional round-wire motors, flat-wire motors offer higher slot fill rates, greater power density and stronger heat dissipation, allowing more torque output in a smaller volume. Inx says switching a joint to flat-wire technology can improve some core performance metrics by more than 20 percent.

Industry partnerships

In terms of commercial deployment, Inx says it is already working with multiple robot companies and cross-industry clients. Domestic humanoid robot partners include Accelerated Evolution, Songyan Power, Xinghitu and Zhongke Huiling. Overseas embodied AI model companies on its client list include a billion-dollar embodied model firm, Amazon and its subsidiaries, and Physical Intelligence. The company also counts BYD, Zoomlion and GAC among its cross-industry partners.
