Innovusion ships 268,900 lidar units in Q3, up 217% year on year

Chinese lidar maker Innovusion (Tudaotong) shipped about 268,900 units in the third quarter of 2026, up 217% year on year, bringing the nine-month total to 919,800 units, more than double its full-year 2025 volume.

Chinese lidar maker Innovusion (Tudaotong) announced on October 12 that it shipped approximately 268,900 lidar units in the third quarter of 2026, a year-on-year increase of about 217%, according to Gasgoo. The company's cumulative shipments for the first three quarters reached about 919,800 units, already more than double its total for all of 2025.

Innovusion's product lineup spans three platforms: the Falcon, Robin, and Hummingbird series, covering long-range to near-field sensing and primary to blind-spot detection. This full-domain perception matrix is designed to support both high-end flagship models and mainstream production vehicles, addressing a wide range of market needs. The Falcon and Robin platforms were particularly strong contributors in the quarter.

Falcon and Robin performance

The Falcon series shipped about 66,500 units in the third quarter, up 26% year on year. As an ultra-long-range high-performance lidar, the Falcon offers a detection distance of 500 meters and an ultra-high resolution of 0.06° by 0.06°, enabling precise capture of distant small objects and providing critical perception support for advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). The series is also being deployed in roadside infrastructure projects such as smart intersections, smart highways, and rail transit.

The Robin series surpassed 200,000 units in a single quarter for the first time, reaching 200,900 units, a 530% year-on-year increase. This series focuses on high cost-effectiveness and flexible adaptation, including the Robin E1X long-range forward lidar, the Robin E2 high-resolution digital main-view lidar, and the Robin W wide-angle lidar. The new Robin E2, based on a fully digital architecture, supports custom configurations up to 1,700 lines.

Mass production and customer adoption

The Robin E series is now supplied to major automakers including SAIC Motor, SAIC Volkswagen, GAC Group, and Nio's Onvo brand, with volume deliveries in production vehicles. The Robin W mid-range wide-angle lidar is expanding into cross-industry applications such as autonomous driving in vehicles, unmanned logistics, industrial material handling, and commercial cleaning.

According to data previously released by Innovusion, by the end of 2025 the company had secured design wins from 18 automakers and intelligent driving customers, covering more than 60 vehicle models. Full-year shipments in 2025 were about 332,000 units, and the company expects to exceed 1 million units in 2026.
