Huawei-backed Zunje details V680 and S800 luxury MPVs, targeting 700,000 and 1 million yuan segments

Zunje, Huawei's luxury MPV brand, has revealed details of its V680 and S800 models, priced around 700,000 and 1 million yuan respectively, showcasing advanced tech and comfort features.

Zunje, the luxury MPV brand backed by Huawei, has provided new details on its two flagship models, the V680 and the S800, targeting China's high-end MPV segments. According to PCauto, the V680 is positioned as a 700,000-yuan (about $98,600) premium MPV, while the S800 aims at the million-yuan (about $140,800) luxury class. Both models emphasize technology, comfort, and safety, but with distinct priorities: the V680 for versatile business and family use, and the S800 for high-spec business and mobile VIP lounges.

The V680 comes with Huawei's Qiankun ADS 5 advanced driver assistance system, a full-surround perception suite, and a triple-redundant steer-by-wire system. It measures 5,320 mm in length with a 3,290 mm wheelbase, offering ample space for business and family travel. The vehicle features 40 sensors, including six lidar units, and an 800V fully active suspension that works with the perception system to manage body motion. In a specific low-grip test, the V680 completed a 60 km/h continuous avoidance maneuver around stationary obstacles, though PCauto notes this reflects system capability under test conditions, not real-world complexity.

Comfort and cabin technology

For rear-seat comfort, the V680's second-row zero-gravity seats use a 20-layer construction with 85 mm thick foam padding and a total seat cushion thickness of 129 mm. Fourteen high-precision sensors monitor occupant body information and pressure distribution, allowing the seat to adapt. The seats recline up to 150 degrees and offer massage across 20 points. The cabin includes a triple-screen front layout with a 12.3-inch 2K main instrument cluster and two 17.2-inch screens for the center and passenger side, plus a 21.4-inch 3K entertainment screen for the rear. The vehicle also features Huawei's ALPS health cockpit with air purification and CO₂ concentration detection.

The S800, with a length of 5,495 mm and a 3,430 mm wheelbase, emphasizes rear-seat luxury. It offers active side bolsters, a three-zone five-chamber air bladder system, and 26-section full-spine support, with heating for the backrest, cushion, footrest, and armrests. A 41.6-inch retractable projection screen and a 41-speaker sound system create a private cinema experience, complemented by storage compartments, a hidden pen holder, a detachable control screen, a private beverage bar, and a cooler. The S800 also features a fully active suspension with a maximum single-wheel lift force of 12,000 N, front double wishbone and rear multi-link setups, air springs, and dual-valve continuously variable dampers. It includes ±12° rear-wheel steering, reducing the turning radius to 5.4 meters, and a crab-walk mode for tight spaces.

Safety and architecture

Both models share a body structure with 11 longitudinal and 11 cross members, with high-strength steel and aluminum-magnesium alloy accounting for over 88.2% of the structure, and 14 airbags. The S800 features an L3-ready autonomous driving architecture and a domain controller with dual redundancy, designed to ASIL-D functional safety standards. The V680 also includes a triple-redundant steer-by-wire system, ensuring reliability for safety-critical functions.

The V680 and S800 represent Zunje's strategy to cover the upper end of China's MPV market, with the V680 focusing on broad adaptability for daily use and the S800 on deep luxury for high-end business and VIP experiences. As PCauto highlights, the value of these technologies lies in how they translate into real-world comfort and control, whether for a family trip or a high-profile business meeting.
