Geely's Farizon Xingxiang M7E launches at 113,900 yuan, brings passenger-car battery tech to commercial vans

Farizon, Geely's commercial vehicle brand, launched the Xingxiang M7E electric MPV at a limited-time price of 113,900 yuan (about $16,000), featuring a 66kWh Golden Brick battery with 2C fast charging and a claimed CLTC range of over 465km.

Farizon, the commercial vehicle arm of Chinese automaker Geely, has launched the Xingxiang M7E, an electric MPV priced at a limited-time 113,900 yuan (about $16,000) before taxes and incentives. The model is the first Farizon product to use Geely's Golden Brick battery technology, marking the first time the group's passenger-car-grade electric powertrain know-how has been applied to a commercial vehicle, according to NetEase Auto.

Passenger-car tech in a commercial package

The M7E is built on a dedicated electric platform and adopts a 2+2+3 seven-seat layout, with independent seats in both the second and third rows. Farizon says the third row is not a token 'occasional' seat. The body measures 5,000mm long, 1,820mm wide and 1,985mm tall, with a boot volume of 1,360 litres that can hold seven 24-inch suitcases.

Inside, the cabin features leather seats with 260mm-wide headrests, four armrests, and 835mm of space between the rear rows. Each row gets its own air vents and charging ports, with a separate rear air-conditioning unit and dual 18W USB-C/USB-A outlets. The dashboard is dominated by a 12.3-inch touchscreen and a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, running the same infotainment chip as Geely's passenger cars and supporting voice control, navigation, Bluetooth and smartphone mirroring.

The M7E comes with 18 standard driver-assistance functions, including a dual-redundant DP-EPS steering system and EHB electronic braking, which Farizon says adds a layer of safety for operators running long, high-frequency shifts.

Battery and range

The headline feature is the 66kWh Golden Brick battery, which supports 2C fast charging. Farizon claims a 15-minute charge adds 200km of range, and the system includes a so-called intelligent end-stage fast-charging mode for the 80% to 100% state of charge window, addressing the common complaint that charging slows down dramatically in the final stretch.

Farizon quotes a combined range of over 465km on the CLTC cycle, the Chinese testing standard that tends to be roughly 15-20% more optimistic than the WLTP cycle used in Europe, so a WLTP figure would likely come in around 390-400km (est.). The battery is managed by an AI algorithm that automatically switches driving modes to cut energy consumption, and the van also offers three levels of regenerative braking.

Power comes from a 120kW (about 161hp) electric motor, and the M7E features FSD shock absorbers and a 5.8-metre turning radius for easier manoeuvring in tight urban spaces. A V2L (vehicle-to-load) port allows the van to power external equipment, a feature aimed at camping and outdoor use.

Farizon is positioning the M7E for business shuttles, corporate commuting, individual operators and large families. A longer M8E variant with seven to nine seats will follow, targeting the custom passenger-transport segment. Buyers who order before 31 December 2026 get a lifetime warranty on the battery, motor and electronic control unit, plus seven other purchase incentives covering insurance, financing and trade-ins.
