Geely Xingrui L Plus launches from 109,700 yuan, claims 3L/100km hybrid fuel economy

Geely's Xingrui L Plus hybrid sedan launches in China at a limited-time price from 109,700 yuan (about $15,450), featuring a 48.41% thermal-efficiency engine, sub-7.7s 0-100km/h, and a lidar-equipped ADAS option.

Geely has launched the Xingrui L Plus, a new flagship hybrid sedan under its China Star series, with a limited-time launch price starting at 109,700 yuan (about $15,450). The car is positioned as a wide-body, intelligent hybrid family sedan that aims to undercut traditional joint-venture B-segment rivals on price while offering a claimed 3L-class combined fuel consumption, according to Chinese outlet NetEase Auto.

Hybrid system and performance

The Xingrui L Plus is powered by Geely's new i-HEV hybrid system, which combines a 1.5TD hybrid-specific engine with a thermal efficiency of 48.41% and an 11-in-1 integrated hybrid drive unit. The system uses a P1+P3 dual-motor architecture that allows electric-only driving up to 66 km/h (41 mph) and is electric-dominant in more than 80% of operating conditions. It does not require external charging, so it can be used like a conventional petrol car.

Geely claims the hybrid version achieves a combined fuel consumption of around 3 litres per 100 km (about 78 mpg US) and a driving range of more than 1,000 km (621 miles) on a full tank. The system produces a combined 238 hp (177 kW) and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.7 seconds. A separate 2.0TD petrol version with an Aisin 8-speed automatic transmission is also offered, producing 200 kW (268 hp) and accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in about 6.5 seconds.

The car is built on Geely's CMA architecture and measures 4,956 mm long, 1,915 mm wide and 1,505 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,845 mm. Geely says the interior has a space efficiency of 84.5%, and high-spec versions come with CCD adaptive damping suspension with comfort, standard and sport modes. The chassis has received a 2026 China Top Ten Chassis award, with a moose test result of 80.2 km/h and a 100-0 km/h braking distance of 34.4 metres.

Lidar-based ADAS and cabin tech

The top trim of the Xingrui L Plus is equipped with Geely's Qianli Haohan H5 high-level driver assistance system, which includes one lidar sensor, three millimetre-wave radars and 11 cameras. It supports both city NOA (urban advanced driver assistance) and highway NOA navigation-assisted driving, and can handle intersection negotiation, lane changes and construction-zone avoidance. The car also features all-scenario automatic parking.

Inside, the Xingrui L Plus runs the Flyme Auto 2 infotainment system on a 15.4-inch 2.5K central touchscreen. High-spec versions include a 16.6-inch full-colour head-up display, a 23-speaker Flyme Sound audio system and four seats with 14-point SPA-style massage functions. The car comes standard with 11 airbags and a high-speed dual-wheel blowout stability system, and meets C-NCAP five-star safety standards.

The Xingrui L Plus is offered in eight configurations across hybrid and petrol powertrains, with an official guide price starting at 119,700 yuan (about $16,860) and the limited-time launch price from 109,700 yuan (about $15,450). These are Chinese guide prices before taxes and incentives. Six exterior colours are available, and Geely is offering launch-period benefits including finance plans, trade-in subsidies and ADAS feature packages.

Geely says the Xingrui L Plus is the first petrol-powered sedan in China to come with lidar as standard on its top trim, bringing high-level driver assistance to the 100,000-yuan family sedan segment. The model is part of Geely's broader push to compete with joint-venture B-segment sedans on price, fuel economy and technology.
