Geely Galaxy Warship 700 launches in China from 169,800 yuan with up to 1,129 hp

Geely's new Galaxy Warship 700 off-road SUV is now on sale in China, with six variants priced between 189,800 and 379,800 yuan, and a limited-time price starting at 169,800 yuan. The top trim offers 830 kW and can float on water for up to 40 minutes.

Geely has launched the Galaxy Warship 700, its first new-energy off-road SUV, in China. The model is available in six variants with three powertrain options, priced between 189,800 and 379,800 yuan (about $26,700 to $53,500) as Chinese guide prices before taxes and incentives. A limited-time promotional price starts at 169,800 yuan (about $23,900) after subsidies, according to NetEase Auto.

Powertrain and performance

The Warship 700 is built on Geely's GTA native new-energy off-road architecture, which combines a unibody construction with an integrated frame. All versions use the Leishen EM-T plug-in hybrid (PHEV) system with a 3-speed DHT gearbox. The entry-level 1.5T single-motor two-wheel-drive variant delivers 350 kW (about 469 hp) and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.4 seconds, with a pure-electric range of 305 km (CLTC). The 1.5T three-motor four-wheel-drive version produces 690 kW (about 925 hp) and does the sprint in 4.2 seconds, with a 280 km (CLTC) electric range.

The top-spec 2.0T three-motor four-wheel-drive Peak Edition offers 830 kW (about 1,129 hp) and a 0-100 km/h time of 3.95 seconds. It includes a mechanical rear differential lock that engages in 200 milliseconds, and can amplify torque to 9,000 N·m at a single wheel. The battery is a 47.14 kWh lithium iron phosphate pack from CATL, supporting 6C fast charging that takes the charge from 10% to 70% in 8 minutes 25 seconds. Combined with an 80-litre fuel tank, the total range reaches up to 1,770 km (CLTC), with a claimed fuel consumption of 5 litres per 100 km (about 85 km WLTP est.) when the battery is depleted.

Off-road capability and features

The Warship 700 is equipped with three locks, an integrated frame, and a torsional rigidity of over 44,000 N·m/deg, which Geely says is more than double that of traditional off-road vehicles. The ground clearance is 233 mm, rising to 280 mm with the optional air suspension. The approach and departure angles are 30 and 31 degrees, respectively. The top two trims can wade through water up to 800 mm deep, while the standard version manages 600 mm. Geely claims the vehicle is the only production car to climb the "Ni San Guo" dune in the Badain Jaran Desert with five occupants and no run-up.

The Warship 700 also features an emergency floating mode that activates when water depth exceeds 800 mm, allowing the vehicle to float for up to 40 minutes using onboard thrusters, with a water speed of 7 km/h. Geely says it has made the related patent freely available to the industry.

Inside, the cabin includes a 15.4-inch central touchscreen, a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.66-inch passenger screen, a 15.2-inch head-up display, and a rear control screen. The infotainment runs Flyme Auto 2 with an off-road customization, and the voice assistant can control the chassis, four-wheel drive, and driver assistance systems. Standard comfort features include a dual-opening panoramic sunroof, a 18.5-litre refrigerator with a temperature range from -6°C to 50°C, and rear seats that fold flat to form a 1.8-metre bed. The trunk volume is 1,050 litres, expanding with the seats folded.

For driver assistance, the Warship 700 offers the Qianli Haohan G-ASD system in two tiers. The higher H7 tier includes a 192-line lidar, a Thor-U chip with 700 TOPS of computing power, and 29 sensors, supporting highway NOA, city NOA (urban advanced driver assistance), and parking assist that can recognize over 300 parking space types. The AI all-terrain mode automatically detects sand, snow, mud, and rock surfaces, adjusting power distribution in milliseconds.

The Warship 700 is now available in China, with deliveries expected to begin after October 31, when the promotional pricing period ends.
