Geely's Galaxy brand has launched the Warship 700, a large plug-in hybrid (PHEV) off-road SUV that introduces the company's new GTA native off-road architecture. The model went on sale globally on October 10 with six variants across three powertrain options, according to Chinese automotive outlet D1EV.
The Warship 700 is offered with a 1.5T engine paired with either a single electric motor or three motors, and a 2.0T engine with three motors. Prices start at 189,800 yuan (about $26,700) for the entry version, with a limited-time promotional price from 169,800 yuan. The top-spec 2.0T three-motor variant is priced at 379,800 yuan. These are Chinese guide prices before taxes and incentives.
Powertrain and battery
The top 2.0T three-motor version produces a combined 830 kW and 1,330 Nm of torque, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.95 seconds. The mid-range 1.5T three-motor version delivers 690 kW and a 4.2-second sprint, while the 1.5T single-motor version offers 350 kW and a 6.4-second time. All versions use a 3-speed DHT hybrid transmission.
Every Warship 700 is equipped with a 47.14 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack supplied by CATL, featuring a peak 6C charging rate that allows a 10% to 80% charge in about 10 minutes at up to 300 kW. CLTC pure-electric range is 305 km for the single-motor version, 280 km for the 1.5T three-motor, and 270 km for the 2.0T three-motor. (CLTC figures are typically 15-20% more optimistic than WLTP; estimated WLTP range would be roughly 230-260 km.) Combined CLTC range reaches up to 1,770 km.
Off-road capability and technology
The Warship 700 measures 5,085 mm long, 1,999 mm wide and 1,912 mm tall, with a 2,900 mm wheelbase. It offers approach and departure angles of 30 and 31 degrees, a minimum ground clearance of 233 mm, and a maximum fording depth of 800 mm. The body uses a one-piece frame integrated into the chassis, with a torsional stiffness of 44,000 Nm per degree.
The SUV features Geely's Qianli Haohan driver assistance system, with the 2.0T three-motor version using the H7 setup based on an Nvidia Drive Thor-U chip (700 TOPS). This includes a Hesai 192-line roof-mounted lidar, three millimeter-wave radars, 11 cameras, 12 ultrasonic sensors and two wading radars. The system supports parking-to-parking navigation assistance, highway NOA (navigate on autopilot), city NOA, and automated parking.
Inside, the Warship 700 runs Flyme Auto 2 on Geely's self-developed Longying 6P chip, with a five-screen layout including a 15.4-inch central display. The top two variants add satellite communication using Geely's 64 in-orbit satellites.
Geely has vertically integrated much of the supply chain, developing the hybrid system, chassis, infotainment and satellite modules in-house. External suppliers include CATL for cells, Hesai for lidar, Nvidia for the compute chip, and Qianli Technology for the ADAS software.
