Geely Galaxy TT launches as 129,900-yuan C-segment electric sports sedan

Geely's Galaxy TT, a C-segment electric sports sedan, launches in China with prices from 129,900 yuan, featuring an 800V platform, 6C fast charging, and a range of up to 725 km.

Geely has launched the Galaxy TT, a C-segment electric sports sedan, with five trim levels priced between 129,900 and 185,900 yuan (about $18,300 to $26,200) as a limited-time launch offer. The model, which is the first sedan in Geely's Galaxy pure-electric 2.0 era, measures nearly 5 meters in length with a wheelbase of 2,920 mm. According to the Chinese automotive news outlet 电动邦 (Dian Dong Bang), the car aims to bring a sporty yet practical EV to the mainstream market.

Standard equipment and performance

All versions of the Galaxy TT come with an 800V electrical architecture, a CATL lithium iron phosphate battery, and a 16-in-1 integrated electric drive unit. The entry-level 640 Rear-Wheel Drive Premium trim offers a 63.8 kWh battery pack, while the 725 RWD Flagship and the performance-focused Ultra trim use a 75.2 kWh pack. The 640 trims deliver a CLTC range of 640 km (estimated WLTP: 520-550 km), while the 725 versions offer 725 km (estimated WLTP: 590-620 km). The CLTC figure is roughly 15-20% more optimistic than the WLTP standard, so real-world range will be lower.

Charging is a key selling point: with 6C ultra-fast charging, the battery can go from 10% to 80% in 11.6 to 11.8 minutes, and Geely claims 11 minutes of charging can add about 400 km of range. However, actual charging speeds depend on charger power and battery temperature, so real-world performance may vary.

The chassis is another area where the Galaxy TT does not cut corners. It features an all-aluminum double-wishbone front suspension and a five-link rear suspension, hydraulic bushings, and a DP-EPS steering system. The rear-wheel-drive layout gives the base model a 0-100 km/h time of 6.5 seconds, while the Ultra trim's all-wheel-drive system produces 425 kW (about 570 hp) and sprints to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds. Geely says the suspension tuning was developed with input from Lotus Engineering and research institutes in Germany and Sweden, aiming for a blend of European handling and Chinese comfort.

Trim levels and smart driving

The trim structure is clearly tiered. The entry-level 640 RWD Premium lacks the laser radar and advanced driver assistance features found on higher trims, offering only basic camera and ultrasonic sensor setups. From the 640 RWD Noble trim, the car gains a 192-line lidar, three millimeter-wave radars, 11 cameras, and the Qianli Haohan H5 ADAS solution, which supports urban and highway NOA (pilot assist). The top-tier H7 system, available on the Flagship trim as an option (16,000 yuan) and standard on the Ultra, uses an Nvidia Thor-U chip with 700 TOPS of computing power and supports door-to-door navigation assistance in complex scenarios.

Inside, the Galaxy TT offers a flat floor and generous rear space, with a second-row seat height of 285 mm and 952 mm of rear headroom. Storage is a highlight: 37 compartments, a 12-liter drawer-style glovebox, an 8.5-liter hidden storage under the rear seats, a 110-liter front trunk, and a 5.2-liter smart cooler that can keep items warm or cold for 24 hours after locking. The seats are a "cotton candy SPA" design, with heating, ventilation, and massage for the driver as standard, while front passenger heating and ventilation start from the Noble trim.

The Ultra trim, priced at 185,900 yuan, is limited to 460 units per month. It includes the CCD-AI magic carpet suspension, a carbon-fiber sport package, red brake calipers, and a suede headliner. Buyers also get a 100,000-yuan zero-interest loan over three years, a 49,000-yuan accessory and ADAS package, and a 6,999-yuan track driving course. The first 999 units sold out in 27 minutes during pre-sale, and a subsequent batch of 699 also sold out, indicating strong demand for the performance version.

With the Galaxy TT, Geely is pushing the price point for a C-segment electric sports sedan down to 129,900 yuan, while keeping core powertrain and chassis hardware consistent across the lineup. The main trade-off is in smart-driving and comfort features, which are reserved for higher trims. For buyers prioritizing value, the 640 RWD Noble trim appears to offer the best balance of price and features.
