GAC Trumpchi has confirmed that its Yue 7 SUV will officially launch in China on September 22, according to PCauto. The model, described as a full-scenario intelligent hardcore SUV, is already open for pre-orders with prices ranging from 171,800 to 217,800 yuan (about $24,200 to $30,700) before taxes and incentives.
Four trims, hybrid powertrain
The Yue 7 is offered in four configurations: a two-wheel-drive Pro version at 171,800 yuan, a two-wheel-drive Max at 187,800 yuan, a four-wheel-drive Max at 207,800 yuan, and a four-wheel-drive Ultra at 217,800 yuan. All versions are equipped with a new-generation hybrid-specific engine, making the Yue 7 a PHEV (plug-in hybrid) that aims to combine off-road capability with everyday comfort.
GAC Trumpchi says the vehicle features a 1.1-meter panoramic star screen, 37 factory-installed expansion interfaces, and an AI-based terrain master system. The company positions it as a versatile choice for city commuting, long-distance travel, and outdoor camping, with the cabin designed to be transformed into a mobile living space.
Pre-order incentives
Customers who place orders before September 22 will receive a factory inflatable mattress and tailgate platform worth 2,098 yuan, along with a free off-road package valued at 7,999 yuan for four-wheel-drive versions, which includes a front differential lock and towing kit. Two-wheel-drive Max and above trims get a comfort package with 20 speakers, front-seat massage, and a 5.7-liter cooler box, also valued at 7,999 yuan.
Additional benefits include a trade-in subsidy of 10,000 yuan for GAC brand owners or 8,000 yuan for other brands, and a 5,000 yuan purchase subsidy for households that already own any GAC Group vehicle. Financing options include a zero-down-payment plan with two years of zero interest on a five-year loan, or a low monthly payment plan starting at 673 yuan per month.
The Yue 7's launch comes as GAC Trumpchi expands its lineup of electrified models in China's competitive SUV market. The vehicle's hybrid powertrain and off-road features are aimed at buyers seeking a versatile vehicle without the range anxiety often associated with pure electrics.
