Dongfeng's Yijing brand has kicked off nationwide deliveries of its X9 family SUV, with a ceremony at Huawei's Songshan Lake campus in Dongguan marking the start of large-scale distribution. The X9, which launched on September 24, had already seen small-batch deliveries at several dealerships during China's National Day holiday, according to Chinese automotive outlet D1EV.
Yijing said that more than 95% of current orders are for mid-to-high trim levels, a signal that customers are choosing higher-value configurations. The company did not disclose total order numbers or pricing.
Huawei-powered tech and safety
The X9 is the second-generation family flagship SUV from Yijing, a brand under Dongfeng Motor. It features a three-row layout designed to give equal comfort to all passengers. The cabin is among the first to run HarmonySpace 6, Huawei's smart cockpit system, which aims to make voice and touch interactions more intuitive.
For safety, the X9 is built on what Yijing calls the Tianqiong Zhidun all-time safety architecture, covering the full driving cycle. It comes standard with Huawei's Qiankun ADS 5 advanced driver assistance system and a 896-line LiDAR sensor, plus an all-aluminum chassis that Yijing describes as premium-grade. The company also conducted a live test of the assisted driving system on city roads in Dongguan before the delivery event.
Service network and charging ecosystem
Yijing is rolling out a service model it calls the "15-minute smart service circle," adopting Huawei's Huizhong service standards and offering a dedicated online concierge. The brand has integrated charging infrastructure from both Dongfeng and Huawei, giving customers access to 2.8 million charging piles for a one-stop experience covering locating, navigation, charging, and payment.
On the retail side, Yijing plans to use a "1+N" sales and service model, with showrooms in 90 cities and service coverage in 150 cities. The company aims to establish 400 experience store touchpoints across China.
