BYD's personalized brand Fangchengbao has started nationwide deliveries of its new Fang S GT and Fang S models, according to NetEase Auto. The company held an "S Experience Day" event where Fangchengbao general manager Xiong Tianbo and brand ambassador Zeng Peici handed over keys to new owners. The two models form a dual-car lineup targeting the premium sedan segment.
Pricing and specs
The Fang S has a Chinese guide price of 189,900 to 229,900 yuan (about $26,700 to $32,400), while the Fang S GT is priced at 219,900 to 239,900 yuan (about $31,000 to $33,800). Prices are before taxes and incentives. The Fang S is a coupe-style sedan, while the Fang S GT is a shooting brake with a 21-degree tailgate angle. Both share design language with the Fangchengbao Formula X sports car, featuring low-slung wide-body proportions, "Falcon Eye" headlights and "Infinite Loop" taillights.
The Fang S measures 5,060 mm long, 1,967 mm wide and 1,483 mm tall, while the Fang S GT is slightly shorter at 5,025 mm. Both have a 2,960 mm wheelbase. The lineup offers six paint colors, including Fashion Green, Dynamic Yellow, Modern Red, Tech Silver, Trendy Pink and Hardcore Black, plus a peelable color-changing option.
Inside, the cabin features a 128-color ambient light system, an embedded instrument cluster, a floating central touchscreen, a 26-inch AR head-up display and a 151-liter front trunk. The Fang S has a 600-liter rear trunk, while the Fang S GT offers 537 liters. The cars come with Devialet-branded audio, a vehicle refrigerator and zero-gravity seats with heating, ventilation and massage functions.
Powertrain and range
The Fang S and Fang S GT are available with rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. The Fang S rear-drive version comes in two power outputs: 245 kW (328 hp) and 300 kW (402 hp), while the all-wheel-drive version delivers a combined 490 kW (657 hp). The Fang S GT rear-drive version offers 300 kW, with the AWD version also at 490 kW. The Fang S has a maximum range of 900 km on the CLTC cycle (an estimated 720-765 km WLTP), powered by BYD's second-generation blade battery with flash charging that can replenish from 10% to 70% in 5 minutes and 10% to 97% in 9 minutes.
The cars debut BYD's Yunian-M magnetic-rheological suspension system, which adjusts damping 1,000 times per second with a response time of 1 ms. It uses preview sensing to detect road bumps and adjust suspension stiffness proactively. Some configurations come with the Yunian-A air suspension with dual-chamber air springs and CDC variable damping. A drift mode and an assisted drift mode are also included.
