Bosch Innovation Workshop and Milian Gongchuang Launch Joint Startup Incubator in China

Bosch's corporate incubator and Chinese startup platform Milian Gongchuang have partnered to create a new venture incubator focused on early-stage tech startups in remote health monitoring and software-driven smart manufacturing.

Bosch Innovation Workshop, the corporate startup incubator of German technology group Bosch, has signed a strategic partnership with Chinese industry platform Milian Gongchuang to jointly build a venture incubation platform in China. The collaboration, announced on October 12, aims to discover and support high-potential startups at the seed and angel stages, focusing initially on remote health monitoring and software-driven smart manufacturing.

The two parties will establish a new platform called "Bosch-Milian Gongchuang" (博链共创) to foster next-generation industrial innovation. Bosch Innovation Workshop brings its incubation methodology, technical assets, intellectual property, and global resources, while Milian Gongchuang contributes its expertise in sourcing and nurturing startups in the Chinese market, as well as its ecosystem-building capabilities. The core team of Milian Gongchuang reportedly comes from the former senior management of a leading smart hardware ecosystem company.

According to Sina Auto, the partnership will operate across four dimensions: ecosystem co-building with large enterprises, early-stage industrial investment, startup acceleration, and global supply chain integration. The goal is to create a systematic, scalable mechanism for discovering and incubating external innovation projects in China, which Bosch views as one of the world's most dynamic innovation markets.

Platform operations and support

The "Bosch-Milian Gongchuang" platform will adopt a closed-loop model covering nationwide recruitment, multi-round screening, co-incubation, investment, and industrial implementation. It will operate on a long-term basis, with plans to run two to three cycles per year. Participating startups will receive seed and angel investment opportunities from Bosch Innovation Workshop, along with global technical support including technology, intellectual property, data, and international resources. Milian Gongchuang will provide entrepreneurial mentoring, product strategy planning, business model optimization, supply chain resources, and access to listed companies and industrial funds.

For Bosch, this corporate venture incubation cooperation is a key step in cultivating future businesses in strategic focus areas. It will further connect Chinese entrepreneurial talent with Bosch's technical capabilities, industrial resources, and market opportunities. The initiative enriches Bosch's open innovation landscape in China, complementing its existing Bosch Ventures and the market-oriented investment platform Bosch Capital.

The partnership is expected to provide a structured development path for identifying and nurturing high-potential startup teams, leveraging Bosch's technology assets and intellectual property to give these projects a unique competitive edge. This, in turn, will expand Bosch's innovation pipeline and accelerate new business opportunities beyond its current core operations.
