Arcfox Alpha T7 launches in China from 132,800 yuan with BEV and EREV options

Arcfox has launched the Alpha T7, a large five-seat coupe-SUV available as a battery-electric or range-extender, with subsidised prices starting at 132,800 yuan (about $18,700).

Arcfox, the electric-vehicle brand backed by BAIC, has launched the Alpha T7, a large five-seat coupe-SUV offered with both battery-electric (BEV) and range-extender (EREV) powertrains. The new model carries a subsidised guide price of 132,800 to 168,800 yuan (about $18,700 to $23,800) before taxes and incentives, according to NetEase Auto.

The Alpha T7 is positioned in the 150,000 yuan segment but aims to deliver a more premium experience, with production handled by Magna's high-end manufacturing base. The vehicle measures 5,020 mm long, 1,996 mm wide and 1,685 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 3,040 mm. Cargo space ranges from 645 litres in the boot to 1,845 litres with the rear seats folded, and there is a 200-litre front trunk.

Huawei ADAS and AI cabin

A key selling point is the Huawei Qiankun ADS 5 Pro driver-assistance system, which uses 27 sensors including lidar, cameras and millimetre-wave radar. It supports urban navigation assistance, highway navigation assistance, automated parking and valet parking, covering high-speed, city and parking scenarios. The system also includes Huawei's CAS 5.0 all-round collision avoidance technology.

Inside, the Alpha T7 features a 1.1-metre panoramic sky screen, a 17.3-inch 3K central display, a 21-speaker audio system tuned for the National Centre for the Performing Arts, a zero-gravity 4D massage passenger seat and an 8.2-litre in-car fridge. The cabin runs on a 4nm 5G automotive chip and integrates two large AI models - Tongyi Qianwen and Doubao - for voice commands, trip planning and creative tasks.

Two powertrains, 800V charging

The BEV version's electric motor produces 227 kW (304 hp) and offers a CLTC range of up to 715 km (about 608 km WLTP est.). The EREV version pairs a 1.5-litre range extender with a 200 kW (268 hp) motor, offering a pure-electric CLTC range of 320 km and a combined range of 1,315 km. All versions use lithium iron phosphate batteries: 43.9 kWh for the EREV, 72.8 kWh for the 650 km BEV and 84.8 kWh for the 715 km BEV.

The BEV versions support 800V fast charging, taking the battery from 30% to 80% in about 15 minutes. The chassis, tuned by Magna, uses a front MacPherson and rear multi-link suspension with continuously controlled damping and an AI-assisted chassis that includes smart U-turn assistance, motion-sickness mitigation and a blowout-stability system.

The Alpha T7 is available in nine configurations across the two powertrains. The EREV option is aimed at buyers who frequently drive long distances or have limited charging access, while the BEV targets those who want a longer electric-only range and faster charging.
