Chinese automaker Aito announced on October 13 that cumulative deliveries of its M6 SUV have surpassed 60,000 units. The milestone comes just over five months after the model's market debut, according to Gasgoo.
Rapid ramp-up
The M6, positioned as a “new-edge smart SUV” for young families, went on sale on April 22, 2026. Aito said the vehicle received more than 10,000 firm orders within 15 minutes of its launch, crossed 10,000 deliveries in 19 days, and exceeded 30,000 units in 54 days. By September 7, cumulative deliveries had reached 50,000, and the latest figure marks another 10,000 units in about five weeks.
The M6 is built by Seres in partnership with Huawei, and comes in both EREV (range-extender) and BEV (battery-electric) versions. The range-extender variant uses a 1.5T engine paired with dual electric motors, offering a CLTC pure-electric range of up to 355 km (about 302 km WLTP est.) (about 221 miles) and a combined range of up to 1,605 km (about 997 miles). The BEV version is based on an 800V architecture and packs a 100 kWh battery, with a CLTC range of up to 760 km (about 472 miles) for the rear-drive model and 705 km (about 438 miles) for the all-wheel-drive version.
Specs and pricing
Measuring 4,960 mm long, 1,985 mm wide and 1,736 mm tall with a 2,950 mm wheelbase, the M6 features a five-seat layout. Inside, it runs Huawei's HarmonyOS cockpit 5.0, including a rotating and sliding “sunflower” center screen, a 26.1-inch head-up display, and a 17.3-inch ceiling screen for rear passengers. The front seats offer heating, ventilation, massage and a one-touch flat mode.
The M6 comes standard with Huawei's Qiankun ADS advanced driver assistance system, which supports assisted driving in both urban and highway scenarios. The chassis uses Huawei's Tulin platform with double-wishbone front and multi-link rear suspension.
Prices for the M6 currently range from 229,800 yuan (about $32,400) to 299,800 yuan (about $42,200), which are Chinese guide prices before taxes and incentives. The vehicle is available in several versions added after the initial launch.
According to Gasgoo, the M6's rapid sales pace underscores strong demand in China's competitive smart EV segment, where Huawei-backed models have gained traction.
