Chinese electric-vehicle maker Nio Inc. delivered 34,246 vehicles in October 2026, maintaining steady market momentum, according to data released by the company on Sunday. The October figure brings Nio's cumulative deliveries to 1,332,139 units since its founding.
For the first ten months of 2026, Nio delivered 334,547 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 38.5% and a record for the period. The company's three brands each contributed to the growth, targeting different segments of the market.
Brand breakdown
Nio's flagship premium brand delivered 18,125 units in October, continuing to hold its leading position in the high-end smart EV segment. ONVO, the family-oriented brand, delivered 8,383 units, steadily expanding its presence in the mainstream family market. The firefly brand, aimed at urban drivers, delivered 7,738 units, appealing to quality-conscious city dwellers.
According to Sina Auto, the three brands have clear positioning and work in synergy, forming a diversified growth engine for the company. The October performance underscores Nio's strategy of covering multiple price points and customer needs.
The company has been expanding its product lineup and infrastructure, including battery-swap stations, to support sales growth. Nio's battery-swap network allows users to exchange depleted batteries for charged ones in minutes, addressing range anxiety and reducing upfront battery costs.
Market context
Nio's sales figures come amid intensifying competition in China's EV market, where domestic rivals such as BYD, Xpeng, and Li Auto are also vying for market share. The company's cumulative deliveries of over 1.33 million units reflect its established presence in the premium segment.
In October, Nio's total deliveries included all three brands, with the premium Nio brand accounting for the majority. The ONVO and firefly brands, launched in recent years, are aimed at broadening Nio's appeal beyond its traditional high-end customer base.
The company's year-to-date growth of 38.5% outpaces the overall Chinese EV market, which has seen slower expansion amid price competition and economic headwinds. Nio's focus on technology, including its advanced driver assistance systems and battery-swap infrastructure, continues to differentiate it from competitors.
