MG has kicked off a two-week sales promotion in China timed to the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays, cutting prices on five models and adding financing, trade-in and warranty perks. The campaign runs from 25 September to 7 October, according to Chinese automotive outlet PCauto.

Warranty offers include lifetime coverage for the battery, electric motor and electronic controls on new-energy models, a lifetime vehicle warranty plus free basic maintenance on the MG7, and lifetime coverage for core engine components on the MG5. The MG 07's high-spec version comes with a free Momenta R7 advanced driver assistance package valued at 12,000 yuan (about $1,690), while the MG4 and MG 4X get up to 5,000 yuan (about $700) in free options.
Model highlights
The MG 07, which launched 24 days ago and has already received more than 59,000 orders, is available with both PHEV and BEV powertrains across seven variants. The top BEV version uses an 800V electrical architecture and 5C fast charging, with a CLTC range of 845 km (about 525 miles). That figure is roughly 15-20% more optimistic than the WLTP equivalent, which would be around 676-718 km (est.). The car charges from 30% to 80% in about 12 minutes. It features frameless doors, a hatchback body, a 2,825 mm wheelbase, mCDC electromagnetic suspension, and a lidar-equipped version with an AI-preview suspension system. Interior highlights include ventilated, heated and massaging front seats, a zero-gravity passenger seat, a 30-litre dual-zone fridge, and both front and rear storage compartments.
The MG4, a battery-electric hatchback with 150,000 cumulative owners, now includes ventilated and heated front seats with massage and memory on higher trims, plus highway NOA (navigation on autopilot) and smart parking on the 437 Zhiqu version and above. The MG 4X is a rear-wheel-drive BEV SUV with a five-link rear suspension. It comes in two battery options: a 510 km version with a semi-solid-state battery and a 610 km version with a CATL lithium iron phosphate pack. Standard equipment includes power-adjustable front seats, heated and ventilated seats, six airbags, a 15.6-inch 2.5K central screen, and a Doubao AI assistant. The Zhixiang version uses a Horizon J6E chip and supports highway NOA.
