Jetour has launched the new X90, a seven-seat petrol SUV aimed squarely at multi-generational family buyers, at a launch event on September 9. The model carries a Chinese guide price of 122,900 to 159,900 yuan (about $17,300 to $22,500), before taxes and incentives, with an introductory "surprise" price of 104,900 to 141,900 yuan and a trade-in price starting at 99,900 yuan, according to EV视界.
The X90 measures 4,830 mm long, 1,930 mm wide and 1,705 mm tall, with a 2,820 mm wheelbase. Jetour offers both five-seat and 2+3+2 seven-seat layouts, a choice the company says avoids forcing buyers who rarely use the third row to live with a cramped cabin every day. The second row offers over one metre of legroom and 1.2 metres of headroom, while the boot holds 658 litres in standard form, expanding to 1,708 litres with the second row folded.
Comfort and cabin features
Jetour has fitted the X90 with what it calls 12-layer "Shuyun" seats, including a 20 mm foam layer, 12-way power adjustment for the driver, and heating, ventilation and massage for the front seats. The second row features a 30 kg-rated folding table, and the third row can be folded flat to create four bed-like configurations for camping, cinema or napping use. The cabin also includes a 15.6-inch rotating display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip, four-zone voice control with iFlytek's Spark large language model, and a 12-speaker 7.1-channel audio system.
Jetour says the interior has passed testing by the China Automotive Engineering Research Institute for harmful substances, and includes a CN95-grade air filter. The company is positioning these features as practical family solutions rather than spec-sheet decoration, arguing that sound zoning and seat support matter more than leather area for long journeys.
Driver assistance and safety
Mid and high trims come with Jetour's Falcon 500 driver assistance system, which supports highway NOA (navigate on autopilot) nationwide without high-definition maps, including automatic ramp entry and exit. The system also covers more than 300 parking scenarios, including vertical, parallel, angled, corner and unmarked spaces, plus a 100-metre reversing track function for narrow lanes.
On the passive safety side, the X90 uses a body with 86% high-strength steel, including 21% hot-formed steel, with a torsional stiffness of 23,500 Nm per degree. Jetour also offers a lifetime warranty on the vehicle, subject to official launch terms.
The X90 sits alongside two other Jetour models launched at the same event: the Traveller Junma Edition, priced at 162,900 to 172,900 yuan, and the Freedom Junma Edition at 127,900 to 137,900 yuan. Jetour says cumulative global sales of its family travel series have reached 2.45 million units, with the large seven-seat SUV segment contributing over one million sales.
