Geely has unveiled the 2027 BinYue Super Edition, a refreshed compact petrol SUV, with sales set to begin on October 27, according to NetEase Auto. The model, positioned as a "high-quality champion SUV," introduces a new design language and upgraded smart cockpit features. The BinYue line has achieved cumulative global sales of 1,478,101 units and has been the best-selling A0-class petrol SUV in China for three consecutive years.
Design and Interior
The exterior adopts Geely's new "Flowing Light" design language, featuring a waterfall-style front grille with 14 vertical chrome slats that visually widen the front end. LED daytime running lights with a flowing light effect enhance the vehicle's presence. The rear gets a streamlined spoiler and layered taillights, while 17-inch star-shaped alloy wheels add a sporty touch. Four paint options are available: Wave Blue, Cloud White, Star Silver, and Mountain Grey.
Inside, the cabin uses a wraparound layout with soft-touch materials. A black multifunctional center console with physical buttons and a hidden cup holder balances practicality and style. The door panels feature diamond-pattern stitching. Two interior color schemes are offered: Warm Orange and Dusk Grey.
The tech highlight is a dual-screen setup comprising a 14.6-inch central touchscreen and an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster. Geely says the central screen is larger than rivals in the segment, and the instrument panel is designed to remain clear in bright light and reduce glare at night. The smart cockpit has been upgraded to support a connected mobile ecosystem, though full details will be announced at launch.
Market Position
The 2027 BinYue Super Edition is part of Geely's push to strengthen its appeal to younger buyers. The model aims to reinforce the BinYue's status as a value leader in the A0 petrol SUV segment. Pricing has not been disclosed, but the current BinYue starts at around 78,800 yuan (about $11,100) in China, before taxes and incentives. The new model is expected to compete with other small SUVs in the domestic market.
No powertrain specifications were provided in the release, but the BinYue is typically offered with a 1.4-liter or 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine. The Super Edition is likely to retain these options, though official figures will be confirmed at launch.
