DIGUA Robotics, a robotics-focused chip developer incubated by Horizon Robotics, announced on September 17 that it has completed a $400 million (about 26.8 billion yuan) Series C funding round. According to Gasgoo, the round was led by international investment firm Mirae Asset, with participation from internet giant Meituan, as well as government investment platforms including Hefei Guotou and Nanshan Zhanxin, and a host of financial investors such as Cathay Capital, Huamei International, GF Xinde, Beyond Moore, and Qihang Capital's Xinchuang Phase II fund. Existing shareholders also increased their stakes.
DIGUA said the new capital will be used to strengthen the full-computing-power product layout of its Sunrise chip series, and to build a full-chain software platform covering data collection, model training, simulation verification, and inference deployment. The goal is to provide an integrated hardware-software infrastructure for embodied AI, meeting development needs from mature product categories to general-purpose humanoid robots.
This is the company's third major funding round this year. In March, it completed a $120 million (about 820 million yuan) Series B1 round, followed by a $150 million (about 1.02 billion yuan) Series B2 round in April. With the Series C close, DIGUA has raised nearly 4.5 billion yuan in total during 2026.
Sunrise S600 gains traction
Since its launch in November 2025, the Sunrise S600 chip - featuring single-chip full-stack computing power, high-reliability hardware, and an end-to-end development toolchain - has been adopted by more than 20 leading customers within six months, including Tarsier, Qianxun Intelligent, Zibian Robot, Zhi Zai Wu Jie, and UBTech. The applications span humanoid robots, industrial wheeled platforms, 3C flexible operations, embodied large models, and multimodal perception. DIGUA claims its customer coverage in the embodied intelligence sector has surpassed 50 percent.
Most of these projects have already entered mass-production shipping stages. Thanks to this broad customer base, DIGUA's revenue in the first half of 2026 grew several-fold year-on-year, and cumulative shipments of the Sunrise chip series exceeded 8 million units.
Ecosystem and incubation efforts
The company's innovation ecosystem is also maturing. Globally, more than 500 small and medium-sized makers, over 500 universities, and more than 100,000 developers from over 20 countries have created hundreds of robot products based on DIGUA's platform, serving millions of users worldwide.
Its upgraded DGP Gravity Plan acts as an incubator for robot innovation scenarios and hit products, offering startups full-chain support from product development and supply chain selection to market promotion and fundraising roadshows. The program has already served companies such as Lexiang Technology, Yinghansi, Qiuzhi Technology, and Luobo Party, covering ten frontier tracks including open-source humanoids, AI sports coaches, embodied models, AI imaging, and home companionship. Several products have become representative bestsellers in their niches and achieved scaled mass production.
As an entity incubated by Horizon Robotics, DIGUA maintains close collaboration with its parent in the robotics field. The company's progress underscores the growing investment and commercial momentum in China's embodied AI sector, which is increasingly seen as a key growth area for the broader electric-vehicle and smart-mobility ecosystem.
