Carota wins 2026 Golden Pivot Award for OTA and smart diagnostic tech

Carota, a Chinese automotive software supplier, has won the 2026 Golden Pivot Award for Best Technology Practice Application, recognizing its work in vehicle OTA updates and intelligent diagnostics for Chinese automakers going global.

Chinese automotive software supplier Carota has been named winner of the 2026 Golden Pivot Award (Jinji Award) for Best Technology Practice Application, according to a report from D1EV, citing the award ceremony hosted by Gasgoo in Shanghai on October 23, 2026. The award recognizes Carota's large-scale deployment of vehicle OTA (over-the-air) update and intelligent diagnostic technology across multiple vehicle segments.

Technology foundation: OTA and diagnostics

Carota's technology is built on its proprietary differential OTA technology, which compresses update packages to reduce bandwidth and data usage, ensuring stable large-scale pushes even on weak networks. The company's full-domain ECU (electronic control unit) security upgrade system supports power-loss resume, version rollback, and digital security key authentication, making each vehicle iteration safe and reliable.

The intelligent diagnostic system integrates vehicle operating data with fault cases to enable fault monitoring, root cause analysis, and remote troubleshooting, shifting maintenance from manual response to intelligent diagnosis, the report said.

Expanding beyond passenger cars

In the automotive export sector, Carota serves several leading automakers, providing a full-lifecycle OTA management platform for vehicles sold overseas. The solution meets overseas regulatory requirements such as R156 and WP.29, and includes on-site engineering teams for testing, delivery, and operations support, helping Chinese automakers expand globally.

For low-speed unmanned vehicles, Carota has deployed OTA and remote diagnostic solutions with industry leaders, addressing the challenges of unattended and batch operations. The remote capabilities replace manual maintenance and have been validated in logistics and last-mile delivery scenarios, supporting continuous software evolution for unmanned fleets.

Carota is also extending its technology to embodied intelligence, migrating its cloud-to-device architecture from automotive OTA to robotics. The goal is to enable robots to evolve from fixed hardware at delivery to iterable smart terminals, with remote algorithm upgrades, remote diagnostics, and cluster management, laying the groundwork for commercial-scale deployment of embodied intelligence.

The award, organized by Gasgoo, highlights Carota's role in helping Chinese smart equipment brands go global, with the company aiming to continue providing reliable engineering delivery for the international expansion of Chinese automotive technology.
